Finding Visual Inspiration for Jaqui

Dianna Shepherd crowned by butterflies

Dianna, I've already narrowed down to Aly Michalka, Tracy Spiradakos or Blake Lively, like I already mentioned.

It's hard to find an actress who can personify both parts of Jaqui. Because she's a princess- she's a debutante and knows how to be all femme and Glam Party Girl, but she's also a total BAMF. Or she should be. She's the Pretty Party Princess and yet she's also this girl. And so many of the actresses I've considered don't look like they could lift a five pound bag of flour, let alone achieve the rank of Major in the army.

Allison Miller played Jack's twin sister on Kings, here's her standing with Sebastian. Her body shape is also pretty much what I described for Jaqui, you can't see it in that outfit and I was trying to get a better photo but I haven't had any luck and I'm sick of trying right now. I'm not sure it matters that I don't know if the actress could pull off playing someone with such a...difficult...personality. But look at how spindly her arms are. Her character has cancer, but in my AU, it's the brother who's sick and the sister who is healthy.

And there can be a difference between character and actor. Katee Sackoff was a great Rule 63 Starbuck, but would she have made a good Rule 63 Face?

I thought about Brittany Underwood after I saw a Youtube video of some of her scenes on Days of Our Lives. I thought something looked very familiar about her, and then I thought "Bristol Palin" (I was almost right, she played a Palin in a tv movie). That kind of killed the idea right there. She doesn't look the same in those publicity photos as she does in the video clips though. Hmmm.

Chase Collins, Sebastian Stan's character in The Covenant, was a genderflipped version of Fairuza Balk in The Craft, but that was just one movie.

For just a generic Rule 63!Sebastian Stan, in terms of biography I could use Masiela Lusha.. Born in the Balkans in 1985, her parents fled to Vienna and from there, to the US. More bookish than you'd ever expect her to be- she was a published poet at 13 and left a major role on a nationally beloved sitcom to attend college. Maybe if she darkened her hair again, it could work? Unfortunately, I haven't seen much of her post George Lopez work because she hasn't really done anything people actually saw.
