Glee's Whitney tribute
Fantastic opening scene. Fantastic closing scene.
I felt that Sam’s advice to Joe (“Teen Jesus”) came off as a little skeevey. This is why churches need to do a better job of dispensing honest, helpful advice to teens about sex. Because while Sam is right that being a good person matters more than following the rules sometimes, part of “being a good person” is being a good romantic partner. If you’re deeply religious but choose to sleep with someone when you’re not yet married, you cannot screw it up. Especially not if the girl in question is Quinn, who has been through enough and seems to still be a little traditional. Sam, of course, didn’t mention any of that, he just told Joe that he should go for it because God probably wouldn’t mind. And then told him about losing his virginity at a strip club. A story which makes most fans feel really bad for Sam, since he basically had to prostitute himself to pay rent.
If Will is going to turn into an obsessive, controlling, condescending jerk every time he’s faced with a situation that makes him nervous, I can see some big problems for him and Emma further down the road. And how about holding the wedding in August? That's enough time to plan, but the kids are most likely still going to be around...
The scene between Kurt and his dad was very well done, although I too am wondering when Mike O’Malley will actually sing something. They let Heather Morris have two or three solos and she is definitely not a singer.
