Mar. 1st, 2013 10:15 pmI wish...that I could draw really awesomely. Actually, I'm a decent artist *now* and I was always one of the best artists in my class in school. I took private art lessons as a child and my teacher actually published one of my paintings in a book she wrote. But my main problem is that I want to be the kind of artist who does eerily real looking photo realistic scenes, and nothing I draw ever comes out that way. Every person I try to draw, ever, ends up in this sort of medieval style. That doesn't work for everything I want to do. I've tried to give up drawing, because I was sure too many other people were better at it, and tried to be solely a writer. But sometimes I just don't feel like using words. Photography's great but sometimes I want to portray things that can't be photographed because they don't exist. I would love to improve my drawing technique but I just haven't gotten around to it.
I enjoy doing doll based photo comics, but those are expensive to mount and require space, and that means I've only ever finished one that I attempted (Picnic at Hanging Rock With American Girl Dolls). Still, they might be worth it.
