I have been working on consolidating my online presence. I ended up with a whole fleet of blogs, because someone had given me the advice to make sure I only stuck to one or two subjects on a blog that was meant to be professional. But I am not a person whose life is concentrated around one or two basic themes. And I wasn't updating them as much as I needed to. Anyway, I deleted all of them except two, and as for fandom, I'm going to be moving everything here because it allows cross posting and other neat features.

I'm working on the Cosmicdance/Cakes for the Queen issue. I found a place it might be welcomed, but you have to send in a writing sample first and a lot of the people there are very well known and I have only had one religious article published. Perhaps that can wait, and my religious posts will just be done here, under special tags and headers, while I continue to practice writing about religion and looking for places to publish actual stuff. I don't want like, forty different journals anymore.

I've got all this stuff all over the place, I don't like that.

I haven't had a literal website of my own since Geocities died, which is okay because I feel like the era of personal websites is over. MySpace and Facebook and Livejournal took care of that, allowing people with no real HTML skill to have their own professional looking webspace without having to do the work. So really, a website you built yourself is only worth it if it's concentrated on a specific theme, offers something no one else does, and you have the time and skill to constantly maintain it.

I've come to realize I'm not that person. And that's okay.
