I would like to write up something about Lou, it will just take me a few days. It's all kind of sudden.
But he did get to live a long life. Not, maybe, as long as he could have lived if he'd started living a healthier lifestyle a lot earlier, but 71 is not terrible. And it was from natural causes (or at least it sounds that way).
I like to think we played them well, and gave them closure. But we both played both of them for *so long*...
He did, and that's a lot more than some of his contemporaries got, thinking about it.
I really am grateful for him that it seemed like the really bad complications only started recently, and that it wasn't like, well... from what I've read, like Sterling, or anyone else with cancer, but Sterling feels closer for the obvious reasons.
I think we did, but yes. I never quite - and honestly still don't - feel they are 'done', even if we never get to write them again.
I keep thinking about how David and Willem Dafoe would be reacting, too, in RL.
I think it will. In December, except for Christmas, it will, as there will be vacation. Though Christmas is Christmas. But still. Less so.

Date: 2013-10-27 10:55 pm (UTC)Will get back to you on other things, due to RL exploding I have been not online at all for months. But I had to comment.
You know, even though we never got to do all we wanted, Lou and David with you was always one of my favourite experiences.

Hope your real life gets less hectic.

Date: 2013-10-27 11:37 pm (UTC)We can still write them, but it'd just have to be flashbacks.
I would really love for at least David, to the/a eulogy.

Date: 2014-01-27 04:10 pm (UTC)I wouldn't mind bringing their story to a close one day. Our story of them, I mean. I'd like to end it before... the end of last October.
I don't know if he did, but he posted an amazing picture on Facebook (well, he must have approved it at least?)
He really did a lot and was amazing.
