I need to backtrack on some of the stuff I said about AG's new Historical character, Caroline Abbott. Because I actually kind of love her, now that I've seen her stuff.

I went to the Natick store on September 4th, her debut day. And I walked out with all but two of her outfits. I bought this and this and this. And Rebecca's School Outfit just because it's almost the only outfit left I needed for Becky. I'm not a fan of Rebecca's pale purple "Summer dress" and I've read a lot of bad reviews of her "Movie dress". Every collection has one outfit I don't like or think is quite worth buying, and for Caroline, that's probably the Traveling Dress. So her nightgown is the only current outfit left to buy.

There are so many gorgeous Federal outfits being created by independent vendors that I'd love to stock her wardrobe with.

I'm in love with her furniture. I will buy it as soon as I have that kind of cash, and I don't know when that'll be because I also have nowhere to put that stuff. But I'm buying it.

The doll herself, I won't buy. Because like I said, she's a twin of one I already have. I'll get the pink "Meet" dress on the secondary market. I'm buying one of the MyAG basic dolls, probably this one, or this one to be my Caroline.

Caroline is proving a smashing success with the fans, both adult collectors and little girls. The adults because her collection harkens back to classic Pleasant Company style and is made of quality stuff, the little girls because she has long blonde hair and comes in a pink dress.

There are some weird issues. Like, one of her dresses is exquisitely embroidered, but another one is merely screen printed. But all in all, a fantastic collection unlike anything they've put out in years.

And we've got news about the next Girl of the Year as well. It might even be *good* news.

Gah. I need a real job.
